19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev won his maiden title for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a former world number one, has experienced a difficult season, managing just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the US Open.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in specific - led to him dropping out of the top ten and finally separating with long-term mentor Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
This represents his initial trophy following the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface since spring of 2023.
Victory also signifies he has secured twenty-one titles at twenty-one different tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to secure a title is really nice," stated world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his last six title deciders, featuring in that event previously this season.
His counter-punching play style and regular outbursts on the playing surface had caused observers to doubt if his ability to perform at the highest level was finished.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to advance forward and perform positively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the final five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden tour championship, took control to force a decider.
The opponent rescued 4 early opportunities in a tight deciding set before the Russian won the break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he secured the win with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
